I love this shoe. My 9 month old daughter is just starting to walk and she loves the shoe. They are comfortable and easy for her to get arround in. The quality is also great. All leather including the sole of the shoe. They are super cute. She gets a lot of compliment everytime she wears this shoe. Several moms have asked me where I got the shoes from. I definitely intend to buy my daughter more shoes from UMI as she grows. -- Too Cute

These shoes are very well made. They do seem to be a little large for the size listed (Compared to other brands) They also seem wide for my lil babe, but I think she just has skinny feet! The grippers are great and I will feel very comfortable with her standing and toddling in them when she gets older. Amazing shoes for the price. You may want to consider ordering a size smaller than you think you will need, but if they are too big for now, they will just fit later, right!!!??? -- Well made shoes

I ordered 3 pair before they finally fit. First pair was too large, 2nd was too small. Bought these for 6 month old when she was trying to crawl and stand. These really helped her move along. Normaly kept her in socks at daycare but she would slip and fall or pull them off. Winter is cold with no socks on laminate and hardwood flooring. Bought these in white and black. Only negative about the white leather is she had rubbed off places on the shoe within first week of wear. Would not be able to consign because of condition but would keep for 2nd child. -- great first shoe

I try to buy the Umi brand shoes whenever they are seriously discounted (which is often on amazon). These are great little shoes. They are well made, cute, have incredibly flexible soles that still provide excellent traction (for both crawling and walking) and they stay on. There isn't much more you can ask of an infant/toddler shoe. They do tend to run a bit wide compared to many other brands but this works well for our daughter and it should work well for most babies in cooler weather when you put them in thicker socks.

We've been passing along the ones our daughter grows out of to two other little girls and they've held up through all three babies incredibly well. Periodically I find a loose thread but it doesn't seem to damage the integrity or appearance of the shoes and I just cut them off. We generally buy the all leather styles but we did purchase the black velvet shoes and they are designed so that the velvet doesn't show wear. All of the places that tend to rub are leather. The lighter colors of leather do tend to scuff and show dirt but you can clean them fairly easily if it bothers you.

We've purchased other shoe brands for our daughter but so far they just haven't compared in quality and functionality (even if they are cute). -- Wonderful prewalker shoes
